The Reno Gazette-Journal’s recent profile on NCET member Randy Brown
Randy Brown is experienced at tackling new endeavors.
He was the first in his family to graduate from college when he left the University of Nevada, Reno with a degree in business. He is the first director of a combined regulatory and government relations division at AT&T Nevada. And he is the first chairman of The Chamber, the result of the newly-merged Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce and the Northern Nevada Chamber of Commerce.
Brown took over the more than 2,000 member organization after the two groups’ October merger.
“The Chamber often advocates for consolidation of governments, services and things like that,” he said. “So, we were able to walk the walk, instead of talking the talk.”
With the help of an experienced board, Brown is guiding The Chamber as it continues to combine business services, member programs and its public outreach.
